The Eucharistic Celebration was presided over by Rev. Fr. Napoleon B. Sipalay, Jr., OP, the Prior Provincial of the Dominican Province of the Philippines. In his homily, he focused on the evangelical counsels and explained how one could love more perfectly by practising chastity, give more generously by practicing poverty and live more freely by promising obedience. In professing the vows, one removes his self-will in order to give one’s self totally. He told the brothers not to be afraid of affective relationships yet to observe proper boundaries. He also gave emphasis on the missionary character of the Order and encouraged the brothers to trust in Divine Providence. After the Mass, a reception was held at the Pilgrim’s Center.
