The Dominican Studentate of the Philippines sent 6 brothers to Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam in response to the invitation of the Dominican Province of the Queen of Martyrs. The Student-brothers from the Philippines helped the student brothers in Vietnam to learn English proficiency through discussions about the Catechism of the Catholic Church, liturgy and some documents of the Church using English language. The program started last June until the end of July. The brothers were divided into two groups. Each group had three weeks for their sessions.

The brothers from the Philippines took the opportunity to visit the formation houses and convents of the Province of Vietnam. They also went on a pilgrimage visiting churches and a convent of Dominican Sisters. Through this, they were able to meet other members of the Dominican family. It also gave the brothers an opportunity to know the history and culture of Vietnam by visiting some of the historic places in Ho Chi Minh City and other tourist destinations.

It is indeed helpful for the brothers to connect with our brothers from another country so that there will be a deeper fraternal integration not only with our brothers from our Province but also with the other brothers from another country. It was truly a successful mission to our brothers in formation for both Provinces.
